AFR's latest epidemic preventive measures since May 15

2021/05/13

Because the Central Epidemic Command Center has raised the epidemic alert to the second level, and the number of locally infected cases has been increasing since May 12, the Alishan Forest Railway announced that from May 15 to June 8, non-reserved tickets will not be available on the mainline. Furthermore, only Chiayi, Beimen, Zhuqi, Jiaoliping, Fenqihu, Duolin, and Shizilu stations are open for passengers. Please kindly pay attention.

These five stations, including Lumachan, Zhangnaoliao, Dulishan, Liyuanliao, and Shuisheliao, are all unmanned stations. Tickets departing from these stations are only available onboard. To avoid the difficulty of controlling the number of passengers, Passengers will not be allowed to get on and off the train at the above five stations from May 15 to June 8. However, passengers who have bought their tickets before May 13 will be exempted to remain their trips.

In addition, the three branch lines in the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area will implement stricter reduction measures. The number of passengers per train will be reduced to 150 people, and that of cypress carriages will be reduced to 120 people. In response to the continuing epidemic, stricter prevention measures must be taken. Thank you for your collaboration.
