We concluded a sister railway treaty on Dec. 24, 2016.
Coordinate 1: Kalka Shimla Railway, KSR
- KSR started running on 1903 and was aim to be a main transportation of city, Shimla. It was recorded as the World Cultural Heritage on 2008.
- Total length: 96km; track gauge: 762mm; altitude: from 656m to 2076m.
Coordinate 2: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, DHR
- From Siliguri to Darjeeling; total length: 88km; track gauge: 610mm; altitude: from 124m to 2258m.
- It was established for transportation during England Colonial Period and started running on 1881. It was also the first railway recorded as the World Cultural Heritage in Asia on 1999.
Coordinate 3: Nilgiri Mountain Railway, NMR
- NMR, which located at Tamil Nadu, the southern India, was also established during England Colonial Period and started running on 1908. It was recorded as the World Cultural Heritage on 2005.
- Total length: 46km; track gauge: 1000mm; altitude: from 326m to 2345m.
