Rhaetian Railway, RhB

  • Concluded a sister railway treaty on June 1, 2026.
  • The Rhaetian Railway (RhB) was established in 1889 and operates across the    Swiss canton of Graubünden, extending to Tirano, Italy.
  • Its network spans approximately 385 km, featuring the famous Albula Line    and Bernina Line through the scenic Swiss Alps.
  • RhB is well known for its panoramic trains, including the Bernina Express    and Glacier Express.
  • The Albula and Bernina Lines are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage    Site for their cultural and engineering significance.

  • The total length is 144km. It was established on 2003 and starts from Disentis to Zermatt.
