Application description
- The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (hereafter referred to as The Bureau) accepts applications for renting sites to film, with educational, promotional and research-oriented films having first priority, followed by commercial films and advertisements. The Bureau rents to applicants under the condition of not affecting The Bureau’s own business.
- The Bureau has authorized the affiliated Branchss to handle the affairs related to the application for filming according to the "Guidelines Governing the Units Subordinate to Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan Renting Sites to Applicants for Filming". Therefore, the applicant should directly make an application to the Branchs in charge of the site in question. However, if the sites for filming are under the charge of two or more Branchss, the application will be accepted by The Bureau.

Guidelines Governing the Units Subordinate to Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture Renting Sites to Applicants for Filming
To effectively utilize, manage and maintain the fields under the charge of it, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan formulates the guidelines to encourage image recorders to record beautiful mountain imagery and promote precious natural resources.
- Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan Agricultural Committee and its affiliated units (hereinafter referred to as Party A) accepts films, television or communication companies (hereinafter referred to as Party B) to apply for renting sites for filming from Party A according to the guidelines.
- Party A accepts applications for renting sites from Party A to make films, with educational, promotional and research-oriented films having first priority, followed by commercial films and advertisements. Party A rents sites to Party B under the condition of not affecting Party A's own business.
- Party B shall make the application attached with the relevant script or the proposal writing and the affidavit to Party A three days before the rental of the site. Party B may rent and use the site after Party A consents to the rental. If the content broadcast is different from that of the original script or proposal writing, Party B shall take all the responsibilities. If Party A's reputation is damaged, Party A shall have the right to pursue legal action, and Party B shall not raise any objection.
- Party B shall not set off fireworks, firecrackers or make noise without the consent of Party A. The props and vehicles used by Party B and Party B's personnel shall not affect Party A's official functions.
- When Party B takes a film, if the police are required to assist in sending personnel to maintain order, Party B shall contact and inform Party A in advance, and Party B shall be responsible for the security measures during the filming period.
- When Party B uses the site, it shall abide by Party A's management regulations and accept the guidance of Party A's management personnel. If there is any violation, Party A may immediately recover the rented site, and Party B shall not raise any objection.
- If Party B needs to set up temporary facilities or scenes due to shooting the film, this shall be stated when the application for the rented site is made, and Party B shall restore the appearance of the site after the filming is completed.
- If Party B's employees, temporary personnel or onlookers damage or injure Party A's facilities or animals or plants, Party B shall be liable for compensation.
- If Party B has any influence on Party A's business, makes something that looks unsightly, disturbs good morals, disturbs public order or does anything that may cause dangers during the filming, Party A may immediately stop the shooting and, if it causes damage to Party A, Party B shall be liable for compensation and shall not raise any objection.
- If the site applied for by Party B is under the charge of The Bureau's Chiayi District Forestry Office and Alishan Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Office, the application will be accepted by the former and it will be responsible for cooperating with the latter to handle matters relating to the shooting of the site, trains or related stations.
Operation process
Applicant: Fill in the affidavit, submit script and make an application to the relevant Forestry District Office.
Forestry District Office: Review relevant documents, and reply to the applicant by issuing official documents whether the application is approved or not. If the application is approved, the office shall send staff to accompany the applicant to shoot the film and give necessary assistance.
